Program Learning Outcomes – Occupational Therapy Department (2024–2025)

The program outcomes have been aligned with occupational therapy-specific standards, the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework, the National Occupational Therapy Core Curriculum, and stakeholder feedback.

PLO No Program Learning Outcome
PLO1 Identifies the biological, psychological, and social nature of the individual, their participation in life, daily needs, and performance using evidence-based knowledge in professional practice.
PLO2 Analyzes individuals using biological, psychological, social, technological, and occupational therapy-specific knowledge, fulfilling all roles required by professional performance.
PLO3 Critically interprets activity and participation limitations, working with a client-centered approach by using activities in rehabilitation and treatment.
PLO4 Selects appropriate theories and models to plan suitable interventions aimed at identifying health needs and supporting individuals’ and communities’ roles and participation in daily life.
PLO5 Works in collaboration and interdisciplinary cooperation with clients, caregivers, team members, and other stakeholders to promote role performance and participation.
PLO6 Considers individual differences, cultural beliefs, customs, and their impact on activity, roles, and participation.
PLO7 Participates in research, scientific activities, and project work that supports the generation of new knowledge in the field of occupational therapy.
PLO8 Takes responsibility in the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of quality systems in the healthcare sector.
PLO9 Follows developments in the field of occupational therapy using a foreign language and reflects them in professional practice.
PLO10 Adopts lifelong learning and sustains professional and personal development.
