2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR FIRST-YEAR STUDENT ORIENTATION MEETING WAS HELD

On September 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., an orientation meeting for first-year students was organized by the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences. The meeting was conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. İlkem Ceren SIĞIRTMAÇ as part of the OZD-100 Career Planning course. During the meeting, students were informed about the university, faculty, and department, the academic curriculum, course registration procedures, academic advising, examination and assessment systems, professional practice processes, exchange programs, campus life, student clubs, career opportunities, and quality assurance processes. In addition, informational videos on addiction prevention and the smoke-free campus initiative were presented, and students' questions were answered. At the end of the program, orientation and event satisfaction surveys were administered to the students. The overall satisfaction score for the event was 8.10 out of 10. MEETING REPORTS

2026–2027 FALL SEMESTER FOURTH-YEAR CLINICAL FIELDWORK/PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE I ORIENTATION MEETING WAS HELD

On September 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., an online Clinical Fieldwork/Professional Practice I Orientation Meeting was held for fourth-year students by the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceyhun TÜRKMEN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay ŞAHAN, Assist. Prof. Dr. İlkem Ceren SIĞIRTMAÇ, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşenur KARAKUŞ, Research Assistant Feyza ŞENGÜL, and fourth-year students. During the meeting, students were informed about the clinical practice process within the scope of the ERT407 Clinical Practice I course, rotation plans, attendance requirements, student duties and responsibilities, professional and ethical principles, the student assessment guide, clinical practice files, and assessment criteria. Students' questions were answered, and their opinions and suggestions were collected. MEETING REPORT

On September 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., the Academic Board Meeting for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year was held at the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceyhun TÜRKMEN, with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay ŞAHAN, Assist. Prof. Dr. İlkem Ceren SIĞIRTMAÇ, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşenur KARAKUŞ, and Research Assistant Feyza ŞENGÜL. During the meeting, educational activities for the fall semester, course assignments, fourth-year fieldwork and clinical practice processes, assessment and evaluation procedures, monitoring of program outcomes, student advising, and quality and accreditation activities were discussed and relevant decisions were made. THE HEALTH SCIENCES STUDENT CONGRESS AT ÇAKÜ WAS ELEVATED TO THE NATIONAL LEVEL

Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences organized the “1st National 4th Traditional Health Sciences Student Congress,” which started with an opening program held at the Rectorate Conference Hall on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The opening program of the congress was attended by ÇAKÜ Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. M. THE FIRST-YEAR ACADEMIC ADVISING MEETING WAS HELD.

An academic advising meeting was held online with the first-year students of the Department of Occupational Therapy on May 22, 2026, at 14:00. During the meeting, the spring semester academic process, preparation for final and make-up examinations, attendance status, evaluation of academic performance and GPA, and students’ opinions and requests were discussed. Students’ planning for the examination period was reviewed, and it was emphasized that they should regularly follow departmental announcements and academic advising information. FINAL REPORTS

A departmental event entitled “Occupational Therapy and Department Talk with Academicians” was held by Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy on May 18, 2026 . The event was organized to support the professional development processes of occupational therapy students, strengthen academic and social interaction between department faculty members and students, and enhance experience sharing regarding the occupational therapy profession. THE FOUNDATION OF MOVEMENT: THE SYNERGY OF COGNITIVE REHABILITATION AND EXERCISE

In collaboration with Hacettepe University Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation , Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy , and Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation , the “4th National Sensory-Motor Integration Symposium” was held face-to-face on Friday, May 15, 2026 . The event took place at Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall , Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Çankırı Karatekin University. A MOTIVATION DINNER WAS HELD WITH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS

In collaboration with Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy and the Occupational Therapy Society , an event entitled “Motivation Dinner for Occupational Therapists: Occupational Therapy and Department Talk with Academicians” was held on May 9, 2026 .
